Without a good relationship with our clients and supply chain we would not have any work. We endeavour to listen to our stakeholders and provide over and above our contractual requirements.
Think08

Think are an organisation that helps bring together key UK organisations and individuals in order tackle the challenge of creating a sustainable built environment. Balfour Beatty took the decision to exhibit at Think08 in order to make it clear that we are serious about sustainability, and indeed, to tell people about it!
In doing so our sustainability agenda has been significantly enhanced and communicated to a wider audience. An added bonus was that we won the Most Sustainable Stand award. Judges were impressed by the way that we had delvered our stand – the same way we aspire to deliver all our projects - sustainably.
Core Standards
Balfour Beatty first produced a coherent set of "Company Principles" in 1986. Since then they have been regularly reviewed and updated, most recently in 2006.
Two companion codes were also developed at the same time. "Business Conduct Guidelines" explains to all employees what is expected of them in terms of behaviour, procedures and attitudes.
"Stakeholder Codes of Practice" sets key operating principles and minimum standards for the Group's operating companies when engaging with employees, customers, suppliers and the wider community.
Together these documents constitute a comprehensive system of ethical governance.
