The money was raised at a charity golf day held at Mottram Hall in Cheshire. Albert Ree, Balfour Beatty Construction Northern Director and General Manager said: "Balfour Beatty Construction is delighted to be able to help local charities. The long-term success of our business depends not just on the continuing delivery of high quality projects, but also demonstrating our commitment to, and achievement in, fulfilling our wider responsibilities to the local community. We would like to thank everyone involved for their continued support" MedEquip4Kids fundraising manager, said: "We are extremely grateful for Balfour Beatty’s support and it is thanks to the generosity of companies like this that we are able to continue funding vital, and often life-saving, paediatric equipment for hospitals across the North West." Woodlands Hospice fundraising manager said: "It is very encouraging that such a large and well known organisation as Balfour Beatty has chosen to support truly local charities as Woodlands Hospice and Mediquip4kids".
