Raising Money For Charity

Balfour Beatty Construction was pleased to present a cheque for £8,000 to two North-West based charities earlier this week. The charities are Medequip4kids and Woodlands Hospice.

The money was raised at a charity golf day held at Mottram Hall in Cheshire. Successfully held for the second year running, 16 teams of golfers took part in the event, which raised £8,000 and included 18 holes of golf, a gala dinner, an auction and a raffle that included two return flights to New York.

MedEquip4Kids fundraising manager, said: "We are extremely grateful for Balfour Beatty’s support and it is thanks to the generosity of companies like this that we are able to continue funding vital, and often life-saving, paediatric equipment for hospitals across the North West."

Woodlands Hospice fundraising manager said: "It is very encouraging that such a large and well known organisation as Balfour Beatty has chosen to support truly local charities as Woodlands Hospice and Mediquip4kids".
